Varennes Carbon Recycling : How Process, Instrumentation and Control Engineers interact in the Design of a Large-Scale Biofuels Plant

The speaker for this presentation is Denis Champagne, Process Engineer at Enerkem. Over the past 10 years, Denis has worked on bringing innovative environmental technologies to commercial scale in the fields of Biofuels at Enerkem and Carbon Capture at Shell Cansolv. He has experienced many stages of clean-tech projects from lab work, piloting, data analysis and operations at demonstration facilities to feasibility studies, preparation of Basic Engineering Design Packages, detailed engineering, start-up, and troubleshooting of large-scale plants. In his latest role at Enerkem, he leads the process design and detailed engineering of the Acid Gas Removal Unit for the Varennes Carbon Recycling Biofuels Plant.
