CAMaaS : How to convert your camera into a sensor !

CAMaaS stands for CAMera as a Sensor.  In this webinar, you learn the requirements and steps to convert an image from a simple camera into a sensor. This means converting the image into a status or value that can be interfaced with the SCADA/HMI for alarming, trending and even control. If humans can make decisions based on the image displayed by the camera, CAMaaS can do the same on a 24/7 basis!

Presenters:
Arbi Bouchoucha: Mr. Arbi Bouchoucha has a Ph.D. in Computer Science with a specialty in Artificial Intelligence (AI). Over the years, he has been able to acquire various enriching experiences, both academic and industrial, and has delivered several research and development projects.

He obtained his Master’s degree in Software Engineering and Programming from the GEODES research laboratory and his Ph.D. from the RALI research laboratory. He has also been teaching programming languages and the foundations of artificial intelligence at the Université de Montréal and the Teccart Institute since 2010.

Serge Benoit:  Serge Benoit, Electrical Engineer, developed his expertise through a range of projects in sectors as varied as mining and power generation.   He has developed the concept of CAMaaS to optimize remote operation and critical processes.
